The book is a psychography of the Spirit Zahara through the mediumship of Marilise Rezende Bertin. Zahara is the narrator of this story, which takes place somewhere in the Middle East in the 4th century A.D. Her life, full of adventures, achievements, and defeats, highlights her search for Christ, as well as her effort to put the Master's teachings into practice, seeking inner transformation by exercising the teachings of Jesus both with herself and others.However, still inexperienced in the practice of love, she makes mistakes, like all of us, and understands that changes for the better - though slow - happen as long as they are disciplined. In this arduous but persistent work, she realises that she cannot do without the readings of the Gospel of Christ Jesus, which, according to her perception, should be done daily.
