The mighty Yuan Dynasty rose from the northern deserts, annexed the Western Regions, pacified Western Xia, conquered the Jurchens, subjugated Goryeo, subdued the Kingdom of Dali, and advanced south of the Yangtze River-unifying all under heaven. Its territorial expanse was unprecedented in history. Like a great melting pot, the Yuan Empire assimilated peoples and tribes such as the Tuyuhun, Tanguts, and Khitans, gradually shaping what we now call the ""Chinese nation."" Through relentless warfare and conquest, the Yuan's cavalry spread the seeds of advanced civilization-gunpowder, printing, and the compass-to all corners of the world. Though brief, this dazzling era burst with irrepressible creativity, expansion, competitiveness, and ambition.

In this torrent of history, overlords, powerful ministers, veteran generals, and renowned scholars wielded power, strategized victories, rode with iron and steel, or preserved their elegance amidst chaos. Their pride and bewilderment, their intoxication and shattered dreams, wove a historical tapestry stained with blood and tears. Looking back, we see Kublai Khan's humiliation in the southwest, Boyan's fall from power and exile, Zhao Mengfu's struggles like a caged bird, the draining infighting of northern warlords, and the tragedy of Dadu's fall-each scene vivid as yesterday, leaving us mesmerized and sighing in sorrow.
