Yara's Green Hope

It follows Yara, a young girl who lives with her grandmother, Sitti Sabira, in a small village surrounded by olive trees and enduring the challenges of blockade and scarcity. Despite hardships, Yara and her grandmother find strength in their faith, patience, and in cultivating a small garden of herbs, which they sell in the market to provide for their needs. The story emphasizes resilience, gratitude, and the moral value of hard work, while portraying the bond between generations and the sustaining power of hope.

The book also includes a traditional-style fairytale embedded within it: the tale of King Casimir, Princess Amira, and the ghoul Grime. This tale highlights bravery, cleverness, and the triumph of good over evil, as the young hero Hasan-helped by Willow-defeats the monster through courage and persistence.
