Wings of the Impossible

Two men. One airline. And a dream too big to fail.

"WINGS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE" is the jaw-dropping true story of Barry Clare and Igor Dmitrowsky-two unlikely visionaries who set out to do what no one had accomplished in more than a generation: launch a brand-new U.S.-flagged international airline. With no Wall Street backing, no billion-dollar safety net, and no guarantee of success, they dared to build an aviation empire from scratch-one investor at a time.

In the late 2000's, while legacy carriers were collapsing and fuel prices were skyrocketing, Barry and Igor were assembling something extraordinary. Their plan was audacious: revive the elegance of transatlantic flight through Baltia Air Lines, an airline inspired by the golden age of aviation, with a flagship Boeing 747 and nonstop service between New York and Eastern Europe. What followed was a decade-long odyssey filled with triumph, heartbreak, loyalty, betrayal, and a level of regulatory warfare no entrepreneur could have imagined.

From packed investor presentations in barbershops and living rooms, to watching a mothballed 747 roar back to life in the Arizona desert, Barry and Igor pulled off milestone after milestone. They secured government route authority, hired an elite crew, passed the most demanding FAA oversight in the world, and stood mere steps from takeoff-literally-when disaster struck.

Each chapter reveals the relentless obstacles they faced: endless FAA certification hurdles, failed evacuation tests that destroyed millions of dollars in capital, and an unexpected SEC investigation that threatened to shut everything down. Yet through it all, one thing remained unshaken-the belief that ordinary people could achieve the extraordinary.

Part aviation thriller, part business drama, and part human tragedy, "WINGS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE" is more than the saga of an airline. It is a portrait of the American Dream at its rawest: risky, punishing, and breathtakingly beautiful. This is the story of how far one will go when passion eclipses reason... and when quitting simply isn't an option.

Perfect for aviation enthusiasts, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and anyone who has ever dared to dream beyond their circumstances, "WINGS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE" is a riveting tribute to perseverance, legacy, and the unbreakable spirit of those who refuse to let go-even when the world tells them to surrender.
