A collection of short stories based on many long-forgotten and half-remembered stories, inspired by far too many 1950s Sci-Fi films and books. Episodes of the Twilight Zone and so many B-movies that I cannot possibly name. As is often the case in the paranoid era of 1950s films, these stories often feature the best of humanity, paranoia, isolation, and despair. I have selected eight short stories that have been bouncing around my head for years. Sometimes the stories have deviated from the original construct as I wrote them down, and sometimes I have written then exaclty as I remembered or dreamed them up. I have undoubtedly been influenced by great British authors like John Wyndham and others. From a gambler's last roll of the dice to the lonely Alien who poses no threat, or the teenagers unwittingly taking part in a survival game that they never wanted to play. Eight similar but completely unconnected stories await you.
