In the frozen Arctic, Soren watches the ice turn to steam. In Rio de Janeiro, Sofia flees a rising ocean that refuses to retreat. In the Pacific, Captain Hiroshi follows a white whale through waters that have turned to ink.

As the magnetic poles flip and the earth's rotation wobbles, humanity is cast into a strange new reality. The old world of technology and certainty is gone, replaced by a landscape of glowing crystals, silver-threaded soil, and purple forests.
