Vestige

Audrey survived an onslaught to her person. An incursion into her psyche... Now she must survive her own consciousness.

"The worst thing to happen" is subjective to the person it happened to. Audrey never claimed what she went through was any worse then anything else, but it haunted her. For Audrey, it was the worst thing. Her home was taken over by the specters of the the attack. Her body bore the bruises even if they had become phantoms that lived under her skin. Her heart battled the wraith that looked like the one who tried to take everything from her. Apparitions of support were a shadow in her mind. Her soul was an echo of what it was.

Full of trauma, heartbreak, and pain. One woman journeys of not just physical, but spiritual and mental survival as she learns to cope with what has happened to find peace and maybe love, again.

Audrey must do battle with the demons in her mind, the naysayers in her life, and the monster that still haunts her. She has a Sisyphean task ahead of her, and every reason to give up.

Can she be more then a "Vestige" of her former self?
