It is a natural question to ask: when vast literature on the Vedas already exists, why is this book necessary? The answer lies in the unique purpose and perspective of this work. This book is centered on the teachings of Bhagwan Shri Sathya Sai Baba.

The title Veda-Satya reflects its dual focus-on the Vedas and on Bhagwan Sathya Sai Baba. It presents Vedic mantras traditionally recited in temples according to the South Indian chanting method, including pitch markings, word meanings, deeper interpretations, and, where necessary, harmonization with modern scientific understanding.

Today, humanity is burdened by anxiety about the past and fear of the future, and has gradually turned away from Sanskrit, culture, and traditional values. The profound knowledge contained in the Vedas is often neglected, while Western culture is blindly imitated. It was precisely to address these challenges that Bhagwan Sathya Sai Baba incarnated. His principal objectives include the restoration of dharma, awakening of harmony among all religions, revival of the Vedas, service to humanity, establishment of world peace, and promotion of universal love.

Great saints and Vedic scholars recognize Sathya Sai Baba as the living embodiment of the Veda Purusha. He honored and supported neglected and impoverished Vedic scholars, established Vedic schools in his ashram and educational institutions, and through Bal Vikas programs cultivated interest in the Vedas among children of all backgrounds.
