Jahrhundert, die von Landwirtschaft, Dorfgemeinschaft und vor allen Dingen von ihrem Protagonisten geprägt sind dem Landwirt, Metzger und Spitzbub, Valentin Oberle.Dieses Büchlein soll ein Zeichen setzen im Kampf gegen das Vergessen von Geschichten, die mehrere Generationen so erinnernswert empfanden, um sie mündlich weiterzugeben. Über 100 Jahre nach Oberles Tod, bevor das Vergessen gänzlich einsetzt und sie unwiederbringlich verloren sind, hat der Autor, F.J. Graf von Stauffenburg, den Versuch unternommen, sie zu konservieren und somit auch für spätere Generationen zu erhalten.
