Up On The Ridge Between The Water And The Moon

The Ridge Between the Water and the Moon is a deeply reflective collection of poetry, short prose, and personal storytelling that explores the quiet beauty of nature, the rugged journey of a life lived outdoors, and the emotional landscape of memory, solitude, and discovery.

Through vivid imagery and philosophical reflection, Clint Hirschfield invites readers into a world shaped by winding rivers, wooded ridges, mountain trails, and small-town countryside. From the peaceful valleys of the Kickapoo to the high passes of the Rocky Mountains, the author's words capture moments of adventure, labor, love, and introspection.

The book blends lyrical poems with personal narratives-stories of working farm fields, guiding in the mountains, serving at sea, and finding meaning in nature's silence. Hirschfield's voice moves effortlessly between quiet contemplation and raw honesty, revealing how landscapes, memories, and human experiences shape the soul.

At its heart, this collection is about searching for authenticity in a complicated world-finding wisdom in solitude, beauty in the wilderness, and strength in the reflections of a life fully lived.

For readers who appreciate nature writing, philosophical poetry, and memoirs rooted in rural life, The Ridge Between the Water and the Moon offers a journey through landscapes both external and internal.
