Patrick Farley brings more than twenty‑three years of experience as a high school teacher, coach, principal, and adjunct professor to his work as a writer and counselor. After confronting and surrendering to his own struggle with alcohol addiction, he pivoted his career toward social work and mental health, with a particular focus on addiction. His journey from education to recovery has shaped his perspective and deepened his commitment to helping others find resilience and healing.

Farley lives in Webster City, Iowa, with his wife and their two children. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys sports, traveling, reading, spending time with his family, and taking long walks with his dog.
