A life lived between three worlds. A trilingual journey in English, Russian, and Spanish.

Why English? Simply because I have lived in the United States for thirty-five years; it has become the language of my daily life, my second home, and the lens through which I see the world today.
And why Spanish? In my view, we Russians share a deep bond with the Spanish people-in how we feel and how we react to life. The British and Americans are different, more pragmatic. In the Spanish language, I found the specific colors that best suited my Russian verses.

Uncertain Times isn't just a book of verse; it's a map of a life lived across decades and borders. Alexander Sosnow brings together a multilingual collection that spans the distance from Soviet-era Siberia to the pulse of modern America. These poems were born in Russian-carrying the weight of classical rhythm and rhyme-and have been carefully translated into English and Spanish. The goal wasn't to force a strict meter in every language, but to keep the raw emotional pulse and meaning intact for every reader.
