The author has explained that she calls this work "her TREE SEEDS" because when she was in her early twenties, most of this small batch of "seeds for thought" came into her mind seemingly out of the blue as if begging to be written down. Later additions, occurring throughout half a century of her continuing life, have also carried that same characteristic insistence, theme, and "heartbeat of a tune" which usually rhymes. They seem to come from and always be in reference to that much larger Tree of Life, of which we are all an integral part and from which we each derive our own individually unique "Soul Songs," she said. She also explained that she spells "TREESEEDS" as one word----because the seeds and the Tree are never really separate.
