To The Frontiers

Out of school and out of work a young man buys a surplus android and a surplus ship, for the price of the scrap metal. Setting out on his first big enterprise, he is looking for opportunity and finds much more than he ever expected. Two remote star states have ground themselves into ruins with a long war. But the ruins that David Morgan wanders into, are neither deserted nor happy to see him. Dave will need to be as creative - and fast on the draw - as he is motivated to make his own way in the galaxy, just to stay alive.
A unique universe, there are no "sub-space" channels to call for help on, no one can "beam you up" out of trouble. Our hero is as much on his own as he ventures out, as a man was in the age of sail exploration here on Earth. The law and order of the American Frontier is in effect, with justice depending on the speed of his draw and the steadiness of his hand. Our hero tells his own story, in the tradition of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Frederik Pohl tales of adventure. Here we have a relatable hero in strange places and situations, doing what he needs to do, to get where he needs to be. Enjoy the ride.
