Time Alone

After more than a decade of being trapped in the past, Ellie has finally found a freedom she's never had in any time period. Yet, with that freedom comes loneliness. She has to start over, yet again, and in the process of doing so, collides head-on with her past, leaving her feeling more alone than ever.  

For the first time since arriving in the eighteenth century, Ellie finally has a basic understanding of life in the eighteenth century, even if her time has been rather sheltered. With a means to support herself for the first time, she's ready to live on her own in society and has the world at her fingertips. Unfortunately, it is a much smaller world than the one in which she grew up. With a front row seat to history, Ellie watches the tensions rise in New York City and Boston as she builds a new family around her. The Revolutionary War is right around the corner and she finds herself caught up in the mounting hostilities while simultaneously facing hostilities directed at her from the last place she ever expected.
