Third Time's the Charm

I thought I knew my fair share about love. I'd read about it in books, watched it bloom with my own two eyes, and even written novels around it. So I would've thought finding a love of my own would be a piece of cake. But after years of trial and error searching for the elusive "one," I realized I'd already had that. 

Had it-and lost it. 

Adam Layfield had been my everything.

My first friend in a new town where I didn't fit in. My first kiss. My first boyfriend. My first love. 

My first complete and utter heartbreak. 

Eight years should have been enough time to clear him from my heart, and I thought it had been. But the moment he stepped back into Bellevue-armored with that boyish grin and a rockstar's charm that still knocked me off my feet-I knew I was in trouble.
