Central to the action is the efforts of a group of locals trying to cope with the Government's 'Localism Act' and the ins and outs of creating an 'Asset of Community Value' against the clock. Will they make it in time?
Someone is pushing to bring the tenancy of the pub to an end and close it down, so that it can be sold, and that results in a campaign of the worst sort of mental harassment, as the deadline to achieve a sale approaches.
It is down to Clarice, a carer at the facility where the pub's tenant was hospitalised before she died, to prove that someone had a hand in her death, and nobody is taking her seriously.

This fast-moving story is designed to intrigue, captivate and delight the reader, with Bob Able's signature gentle humour never far from the action.
