The Shadow and the Light

The Shadow and the Light: A Journey of Self-Acceptance and Self-Discovery is a children's book about integration, and individuation. A boy named Leo who has a shadow that represents his hidden and repressed aspects of himself. He is afraid of his shadow and tries to ignore it or run away from it. He thinks that his shadow is bad and that he has to be perfect and good all the time. He doesn't realize that his shadow is also a part of him and that he can learn from it and integrate it. One day, he meets a girl named Luna who has a light that represents her conscious and expressed aspects of herself. She is curious about her light, and tries to explore it and share it with others. She thinks that her light is good, and that she has to be bright, and happy all the time. She doesn't realize that her light is also just one part of her, and that she can balance it with her shadow. They become friends, and help each other to accept and balance their inner selves. They become more whole, and authentic people who can embrace their strengths, and weaknesses.
