For centuries, the TCF has eliminated human chaos, reducing life to a muted, predictable EarthTone beige.

Ken Nichols is a Factor X anomaly: his mind is immune to the drug. He processes the world not through placid obedience, but through cold, relentless logic and an agonizing awareness of the lie. When he discovers the system's terrifying final secret-that the Kingdom poisoned his family and engineered his own existence-he flees toward the forbidden wilderness.

Hunted by the ruthless Overseer Council and the supremely efficient Candidate Kerbis Barrantes, Ken is forced into alliance with the Runners, a clandestine resistance maintaining the very system they seek to destroy. Their plan: destroy the TCF network globally.

But the antidote to systemic slavery is catastrophic.
