15 years after a shocking event that no one in this small town wants to talk about, someone is out for murderous revenge.
Just as NYPD detective Samantha Whitecliff notices a welcome slowdown in homicides in New York's East Village Precinct, a nearby murder with the word 'one' carved on the young victim's stomach takes place. Her investigation takes her up the Hudson River to the small town of Catskill, where she and Catskill Police Chief Ted Mercer interview friends and family of the victim and keep hearing about a hush-hush event from 15 years ago that relates to the victim. As the murders start piling up, from the streets of Catskill to the suburbs of Savannah, Georgia, the buried events from 15 years ago are exposed and Samantha and Ted race to find a killer who is out for total revenge.
