The Hotel Room with No Mirrors

Sometimes, to see clearly, you have to stop looking.

Elias and Sana are the perfect couple. He is a world-renowned architect of glass and steel; she is a celebrated designer of minimalist textiles. But behind the polished facade of their high-society Lisbon life, their marriage is a hollow structure, crumbling under the weight of a tragedy they refuse to name.

In a last-ditch effort to save what remains, they book a Valentine's getaway at L'Absence-a remote, high-concept hotel perched on the rugged cliffs of the Alentejo coast. The rules of the sanctuary are absolute: no phones, no screens, and most importantly, no mirrors.

In a world without reflections, there is nowhere to hide.

Without the distraction of their own images, Elias and Sana are forced to inhabit their own skin. Stripped of their vanity and their carefully curated masks, they must face the one person they've spent years avoiding: each other. As the hotel's mysterious rituals push them to the breaking point, a violent Atlantic storm traps them within the windowless walls, turning their sanctuary into a psychological pressure cooker.

As the physical walls of the hotel begin to crack, so do the lies they've told themselves. From the "Dinner of Specters" to the "Hour of the Void," they must navigate a landscape of raw vulnerability to find the truth buried beneath the surface.

What happens when the image you've projected to the world finally shatters? Can you love a person you no longer recognize in the light of day?

The Hotel Room with No Mirrors is a cinematic, deeply emotional exploration of intimacy, identity, and the courage it takes to be truly seen. It is a hauntingly beautiful story for readers who crave psychological depth and a realistic look at the scars that make us human.

In the void of L'Absence, the truth is the only thing that won't disappear.
