The Guerrilla Cyber Defender

A concept to counter the new threats and political landscape that has changed over the last century, into a more hostile cyber environment where information operations by nation state actor are combined with cyber capabilities from military and intelligence agencies. The resources a nation stat can bring to bear on small to middle companies caught in the crossfire can look impossible to defend against. As nation state actor can employ by coercion, bribery or fear from the lonely boy room hacker, cyber criminals to intelligence operative embedded into academy or corporate entities. The need for cyber defenders to change is emerging. This book aims to merging the aspect and tatics of gurrilla warfare into the cyber defence space to address the inadequacies of traditional cyber defenses and counter the growing sophistication of modern threats, cybersecurity professionals must turn to a new approach: cyber guerrilla warfare. Inspired by the principles of guerrilla warfare in the physical world, this strategy emphasizes agility, deception, adaptation, and asymmetry-all essential qualities for defenders facing more powerful and resourceful adversaries.
