The Early Church on the Antichrist - Volume 2

What did the earliest Christians believe about the Antichrist, tribulation, and the fate of the Church?

Long before modern prophecy systems, rapture theories, or theological shortcuts existed, the early Church read the Scriptures plainly. They believed the saints would face the Antichrist, endure persecution, remain faithful unto death, and be delivered at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

This book documents that forgotten consensus.

In The Early Church on the Antichrist, Glenn Langohr brings together Scripture-especially the prophecies of Daniel-with direct quotations from early Christian writers to show that the historic Church did not expect an escape before tribulation, but endurance through it.

Drawing from Daniel chapters 7, 8, 11, and 12, this volume demonstrates that:

• The Antichrist makes war with the saints

• The holy people are persecuted and refined

• Deliverance comes after tribulation, not before it

• Resurrection and reward follow faithfulness and testimony

These conclusions are not speculative. They are confirmed by Jesus Himself, by the Apostle Paul, and by the Revelation of Jesus Christ-and they were openly taught by early Church leaders such as Irenaeus, Hippolytus, Cyril of Jerusalem, and Lactantius.

This book is not written to entertain, comfort, or promise escape. It is written to bear witness.

It is for readers who fear God, test doctrine by Scripture, and want to understand what the early Church actually believed before modern systems reshaped Christian expectations.

This is Volume I in the Early Church Witness series, which documents how the earliest Christians understood salvation, endurance, judgment, and the last days.
