The Draugr and other Shadows of Decay

One night I stood on the edge of a sea cliff and watched the moon rise over the waves. Contemplating what it might be like to step off that cliff and plunge down and onto the sea wracked rocks below, I caught movement amongst the waves. There as far as I could see across the water were the endless dead, each with a story to tell. This book is a collection of stories from that night when the dead came to me. In these pages, they now come to you.

"The Draugr" -When the old ones go into the hills to meet the elves, the Draugr rises from his frozen grave seeking to fondle gold with skeletal fingers and taste salt blood with blackened tongue.

"Bones in My Bedroom" -When an adventurous boy brings home an unusual souvenir, he soon learns the uncomfortable difference between amateur archeology and grave robbing.

"A Tell Me Quick Ghost Story" -So, the creepy old house even has a hidden crawlspace underneath. Cool! But what's that terrible smell coming from in there?

"Take My Hand" -We finally get an answer to that age-old question: Should we start a relationship with someone we just met in a torture dungeon?

"The Librarian's Daughter" -A librarian-in-training finds a book that might help get rid of her drunken husband. Unfortunately, magic and murder don't often mix, and her recipe for revenge cooks up more than she bargained for.

"A Journey with Charon" -It's bad enough crossing the river Styx in a ship piloted by the Ferryman to the Dead, but things only get worse when the passenger sitting across from you is the Grim Reaper himself.
