The Darkness Within

After surviving the death of my parents and being tortured at the hands of their murderers, I have no interest in living life as the omega Mafia princess I am.

A future with anyone? Not interested. Mates and a fairytale pack life? Pffft. That's only on the TV shows I'm addicted to.

All I want is a home where my twin brother and I can live out our lives in peace.

I'm pretty sure I have all of that after a successful morning of thieving on the New York City streets. It's straightforward-sell the expensive watch at the pawnshop and grab a cheap apartment.

But it all comes crashing down when the ex-Mafia prince turned billionaire businessman catches me stealing from him and blackmails me into being a thief for him. It's only one job, one that I have no choice but to do. And then my brother and I are gone.

My plans go from bad to worse when I scent-match his pack. The temptation of these dangerous men wreaks havoc on my biology. I don't want them-okay, maybe I do, a little-but I don't need them. So I'll fight tooth and nail against the draw each of them has on me.

My goal is to finish the job unattached. Who needs a pack? Not this girl.

I'll never give up my freedom.
