Jake looked down at me, huddled in the dark corner of Dr. Grey's office floor. He had no smile and his arms were crossed across what looked like huge chest now.

"My lovely wife, I knew you'd come here."

He paused with an unrecognizable gaze. He eyed me up and down. Jake curiously observed my torn-up clothes and the bare, blood-stained parts of my skin. I shivered with illness and terror.

"Look at you. Half-raped, half-naked, broken, bloody, and sick... damaged really. And now a killer like most of us here. Feeling a little under the weather, are we?"Jake's angry gaze penetrated what was left of every fiber of my being.

The man who once loved me obsessively didn't look down with pity, but... anger. Even though I made it here, Now I would continue to pay.

"You thought you'd leave me? Betray me? How did that work out for you, Love?" He asked while tapping his fingers on his arm as if questioning a disobedient child.

"It di... didn't..." tears slowly streamed down my face, in slow motion.

If he wasn't going to help me, I would try to help myself.

I managed to inch my way around, scooting my wounded body on the hardwood floor, focusing on the Medicine cabinet.

Jake put his large boot in front of me, so close to my face, that I could almost smell the leather.

"Looking for this, Lassie." Jake held up a brown vial.

Jake's reaperness had kicked in. He'd seen me coming long before I even left the trail.
