Believers have a direct role in the Lord Jesus Christ's return. In Matthew 24:14, and similarly in Mark 13:10, the Lord says, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." The Lord makes this "Great Promise" to return once the Great Commission is fulfilled. Unfortunately, there is a big problem. The Church is divided and practically ineffective at fulfilling the Great Commission. Yet even though we are divided, God desires to revive us and for us to repent.
