The Bear Facts of Life

A Dock.

A Dog.

A Doctor.

A Destiny.

A Divine Calling.

Dr. Patrick McLaughlin's life was moving fast, with his dreams and goals on track. Married, raising four kids, serving patients, growing fifty side businesses, and trying to keep up with a full and sometimes chaotic life.

Then one day, on his coastal North Carolina dock, his world was upended.

With his life suddenly turned upside down, it took his favorite dog, Bear, to remind him of what was important: to live a full life each and every day. What McLaughlin found through this life transformation, was that these principles were universal in not only every dog, but in every person that he knew who lives with purpose.

A lifelong personal development learner, McLaughlin meshed these life lessons learned from Bear and powerful books, to reveal The Bear Facts of Life.

Dr. McLaughlin and his favorite Goldendoodle dog, Bear, take you through these "facts of life" to give the reader a roadmap to what matters most in life. All dogs show these traits each and every day, if we will only take the time to recognize and observe. The Bear Facts of Life serve as invaluable daily reminders to what really matters in this short time we have on Earth.
