The man who knows how to provide but may struggle to receive care. The man who can command a room but doesn't know where he can safely put the performance down. The man who wants intimacy while instinctively protecting himself from everything intimacy requires.

Across twenty-four chapters, Travis DarDar examines the proving years, provider identity, dating abundance, standards, vulnerability, loneliness, independence, discernment, commitment, and the emotional armor many Black men learned to wear long before they understood what it would eventually cost them.
