The APELING

They're all real, as "the boy" soon discovers. The sole survivor of a plane crash over Colorado, a frightened five-year-old Kansas boy is rescued by a clan of Sasquatch. Upon the reluctant order of the clan's alpha male, they raise the boy as their own away from human civilization.

The years pass quickly as the boy adjusts to clan life and his body hardens to the extreme cold and weather. He learns to eat raw food and forms an intense brotherly relationship with the young mountain boy who found him at the fateful crash site where his parents died.

Bright and fiercely loyal to his adopted family, the boy-now a young adult-tries hard to be recognized as a true son of the clan.

But the boy isn't of their blood and must continually go the extra mile to prove himself. After overcoming language and countless other barriers, he falls in love with an isolationist's 18 year old granddaughter his age. Is this the final straw between him and the alpha male who brought him in as a young child?
