Teaching Us: The Class of 1960 at Moses Brown: Volume II, After Class is a detailed description of the non-athletic extra-curricular activities at Moses Brown School during the 1950s. These include: student government, social life, intellectual clubs (e.g., the Chess Club), avocational clubs (e.g. the Camera Club), performance clubs (including Model UN and high school theater), and student publications. This partly autobiographical account is based on the author's personal recollections, interviews with classmates, interviews with surviving faculty and coaches from that era, and on an extensive documentary record of class notes, exams, and textbooks. Here is an intensive review of the contribution extra-curricular activities made to student growth and learning at a quality K-12 New England Quaker preparatory school in the 1950s-near the end of the "pre-electronic" classroom instructional era.
