Tattoo My Heart

It is easy to think about our hearts when feeling short winded or trying to catch our breath. According to the Mayo Clinic, a normal resting heart rate is approximately 60 to 100 beats per minute. When postured in a resting position we often do not think about our hearts and how vital it is to the entire body. But even when we are sleeping our physical hearts are ensuring that the body heals as its organs are kept functioning.


The heart is also the primary agent wherein the spiritual essence of who we are resides and from it flows our thoughts, behaviors, and speech. Thus, the heart is the catalyst that cradles the human spirit, making it the main reason why God seeks a relationship with the heart of mankind. The Lord's desire is to write His covenants on the tablets of our hearts and to create a hunger for godliness in our spirits.
