I've always felt insignificant with my family. The outcast. My parents pushing me for as long as I can remember to become a doctor to work alongside my father at his practice. The thing is, that's not what I want to do. No, I want to follow in the footsteps of my favorite BMX rider, Anthony Ville. So, when my best friend Noah and I get asked to join Overbear BMX, it's as if everything I want starts to fall into place. Then, I meet Ashlynn Black. Feeling a close bond almost instantly with her to the point I quickly considered her like a sister I never had. The family that supports me. Little did I know, how true that would become.

My dad left when I was six years old, he never came back. My mom had a way of making it feel like it was all my fault. I tried finding him once, but to no avail. I barely remember what he looks like. Then, I met a young BMX rider who was added to my boyfriend's BMX team. We connected instantly, and I feel protective of him like we're family. The little brother I wish I had...or even needed growing up. At least it would have made the pain hurt less knowing someone was there who understood. It turns out, wishes do come true. At a cost.
