The research seeks to identify how technological advances are being incorporated into surface design in children's clothing prints. To this end, a sample of children's clothing brands in the Brazilian market was selected and the recurrence of prints that feature creative appropriations of technology was researched in order to determine and conceptualise the fundamentals for such designs. In the cases analysed, the types of prints and how they occur are described based on the theoretical framework. Interviews were then conducted to deepen knowledge about how professionals position themselves on the subject, together with the companies for which they work. As a result, the research presents a mapping of creative appropriations of technology in children's clothing prints and analyses how technologies are being incorporated into children's clothing prints and how they are being incorporated into surface design in selected prints in the sample on the issue.
