With bonfires, beach days, and girl outings, she fights to move-on, picking up the pieces as she goes. Ty has loved Marley his whole life, and it's taken him just as long to understand those feelings. When he finally did and decided he would do something about it, his life got turned upside down. His dad asked him to keep a secret and when he couldn't, he watched his mom fall a part because of the truth. He now has one goal this summer-be there for his family. That means sacrificing his feelings.
While struggling with his mom's pain and trying to keep it all from his sister, he makes one mistake after another. On the road to sabotage his life and happiness, he learns he has real friends-and they won't let him drown in his pain. He also learns pushing Marley away might be the biggest mistake he has made.
