STIGMA'S SHADOW

For centuries and generations, individuals living with mental health challenges have carried the label that comes with their illness. The stigma of mental illness often casts a shadow that can be more isolating than the condition itself, distorting public perception and discouraging people from seeking help. But that shadow is lifted when famous people - artists, athletes, actors, musicians, and leaders across every corner of public life begin to share their own struggle with mood and mental disorder. Their stories help people see that mental illness is something that can be understood, treated, and lived with.
