Starting A Martial Arts School With No Money

Do you dream of opening a school one day and believe you lack the financial resources to make it a reality? So did I.

I thought it nearly every day for eight years, yet I lacked the investment, financial support, business sense and a black belt-- All things I believed were necessary to make it a reality.

Events, circumstances and support would all converge in one particular moment in time, creating the opportunity, and allowing me to open my own school, still only a brown belt, competing against schools with long established black belts, in my own stand alone location. Over a decade later I am still going strong despite once living pay cheque to pay cheque with no savings account, and only making a $22/hour.
