Bei der Beobachtung von großen internationalen Schwimmwettkämpfen stellt man besonders bei dem 50m-Freistil Sprint Unterschiede in der Häufigkeit der Atmung fest. Es gibt Schwimmer, die während der 50m mehrmals atmen und es gibt Schwimmer, die während dieser Strecke gar nicht Luft holen. Gerade wegen der Kürze der Strecke haben kleine Unterschiede in der Bewegungsökonomie oder im physiologischen System große Auswirkungen. In der vorliegenden Untersuchung soll untersucht werden, inwiefern die Atemfrequenz (Atmung ad libidum vs. Atmung in völliger Apnoe) in Verbindung mit eine Apnoe-Training Einfluss auf den Sauerstoffverbrauch, die Zeit und leistungsphysiologische Parameter bei einem 50m Freistilsprint hat.
