Spirits' Quest

This book builds on the first title in this series, Sprits' Love. The central law enforcement agency is the Sheriff's Department of the fictitious Dixon County, Washington. The sheriff is an ethnic Korean, Sheriff Pak. He has two deputies, Gordon Armstrong and Bess Jackson. Gordon is the narrator of the story. The department also has a number of Constables.

Also supporting the sheriff is a contingent of entities from the Celestial Realm. This contingent is managed by the Jade Empress. The contingent includes the spirit of Mun Ae-Sook, the deceased fiancee of Gordon. She is known to the humans as "Sooky". Additionally there are several grim reapers as well as gumihos [nine tail foxes].

The action focuses on the machinations of the employees of Tom's Trinkets. Tom's Trinkets is owned by Mark Standish whose past is somewhat clouded. Sheriff Pak task is to ascertain what is going on within Tom's Trinkets and dealing with any criminal behavior from the employees' actions.
