The first volume of the collection features Chega de saudade, composed by Vinícius de Moraes and Antônio Carlos Jobim in 1956, and recorded for the first time by Elizeth Cardoso in 1958. This song has become one of the symbols of Bossa Nova, and its recording by João Gilberto in 1959 is considered the starting point of this musical movement.
