(AKA - THE WOLFSONG SAGA, Abridged & Modified Version for Young Adults 13 and up).
M/M Wild West Adventure-Romance Yaoi-Light
It's the American West of the 1870's. Two young men from clashing cultures discover a passion that cannot be denied, and end up changing the course of history!
Caleb had nobody in his family he could relate to. His independent spirit refused to be confined to the tomb-like mines his Pa and brothers feverishly worked during the Montana Gold Rush, in pursuit of the great Bonanza of their dreams. Cal could never have imagined that being taken captive by a member of a hostile Indian Tribe, he would find a freedom beyond his wildest fantasies.
5 Star Reviewer
"Great writer tells it true like it was. The west was filled with men who cared about each other. The Indians knew how normal and special it was... This author tells the stories of how it really was... As the puritans came west and spoiled the minds of people we ended up with bigotry and judgment ... that lasts to this day. Men with men has always been and will remain as time passes. The author gives ... an understandable snapshot of how ... people survived." - Tom
"Fantastic! What a riveting story! I love your attention to historic detail. Your writing is fresh, engaging and [steamy!] Thank you for trusting me with you work. Be proud!" - Tony F [Syndicated TV Journalist]
"I finished the story you sent me! It was amazing! I've had friends that are writers and I have read some of their work, but ... it was exciting to read your story and know you personally... You have a ... gift! The way you described moments between Cal and Wolfsong ... made me feel like I was watching a movie in my head or having a dream. The more I read the clearer the image became. I'm impressed to say the least. It appealed to me in so many different ways!" - Jayme
The mysterious Lakota Scout, Wolfsong, and the prospector's son, Caleb, would never have come to know each other but for a potentially deadly accidental meeting, and the saving grace of a mystical vision.
Bound together by Destiny Itself, the uncommon pair struggle against the brutal and overwhelming industrial forces shaping their world. The western push of American "progress" has resumed with a vengeance now that the pause from the Civil War is over. Hunger for the seemingly limitless lands and riches of the great Western Frontier threatens to utterly destroy an entire way of life for countless Indigenous people residing there, including Wolfsong's own. Caleb knows this juggernaut all too well. The people he comes from brought it into existence! In his own American culture, it is called "Manifest Destiny." Caleb is determined to prevent it from making casualties of History, out of his Indian friends.
As the series continues into subsequent books, the bond between Wolfsong and Caleb is deepening in surprising ways. The fated duo find themselves repeatedly facing off against the mighty industrial power of an ever expanding American empire. Their destiny appears minuscule pitted against the indomitable will of a rapidly expanding Nation and its "Manifest Destiny" - that it should stretch across an entire continent from sea to sea. The duo is forced to fight against overwhelming odds, only to discover hidden qualities within themselves and the natural world that help them change the course of History for all time.
