Sofie's World

Sofie's World: Cristalia (Book One)

Somewhere past a door shaped like crystal lies Cristalia - the smallest country in the world, and the one Sofie has been dreaming about for as long as she can remember.

Join Sofie, her little sister Alex, and their ladybird-winged friend Pip as they explore glittering beaches, wander through a rainforest full of butterflies, climb snow-capped mountains, and join a festival like nothing you've ever seen. Along the way, Sofie starts to realize something strange: every corner of this magical country feels familiar - as though she's visited it a hundred times before, in her sleep.

What's inside:

• 49 beautifully detailed, original illustrations to colour, taking readers from Sofie's very first step through the crystal door to her final look back before returning home
• A gentle, dreamlike story woven throughout, with its own page facing every picture - so young readers can follow Sofie's adventure scene by scene, not just colour in silence
• A hand-drawn map of Cristalia, introducing its beaches, rainforest, mountains, and festivals before the journey begins
• A closing note from Sofie herself, the real seven-year-old imagination behind this world

Designed for imaginative children aged 7 and up, with a range of illustration complexity - from simple, open scenes for younger or newer colourists, to richly detailed pages (including four full-page pattern designs) for sharp-eyed, more advanced artists who want a real challenge.

Cristalia is Book One in the growing Sofie's World series - a collection of stories and adventures built entirely around the imagination of a real child. If Cristalia captures your reader's imagination, more of Sofie's dreamed-up worlds are on the way.
