Sneaker and Nandi, must travel to the headwaters of the River Styx to find a demon doctor with a cure.

The road blocks are many: A massive lovesick serpent, a pissed off Scorp, a hungry Mudfish, a greedy Crawly farmer, and a long-thought-dead boyfriend.

Cure in hand, with time running out, they have to survive more roadblocks on the return trip. The cure stops the poison in Slip's body, but will not repair the internal damage. After watching to see if two souls fall in love, they leave for Heaven Gate.

With help from the Princess and the Tiger, they carry Slip over a mountain and down to Heaven Gate while fighting Hell's relentless dangers and a new set of creatures, one with a long, unpleasant memory of Sneaker.
