Those Trashy Dogs...

Dogs are humanity's best friend. They have been our companions, guides, and protectors. What we forget is that dogs are animals. They have been, and can be, killers. If they were to ever turn on us, as a whole, in a species on species war, how many of us would die without a fight, caught off guard by such a brutal betrayal?

Millions of people are bitten by dogs in the United States alone each year. In 2023, over sixty of those attacks resulted in the person dying from the dog's assault on them.

There are so many great (and not so great) books about killer dogs including Stephen King's Cujo, David Fisher's The Pack, Robert Calder's The Dogs, Al Dempsey's Dogkill, William Essex's The Pack, David Anne's Rabid, Douglas Borton's Manstopper, and quite a few more. Most of these that I have read, I really enjoyed.

If you know me at all, then you know I like to take a genre/sub-genre and twist it into something insanely over the top. Growing up, I enjoyed Bigfoot horror films and that gave birth to my book Bigfoot War which essentially created the sub-genre of the Sasquatch Apocalypse. Who wants a single monster running around tearing people apart when you can have an army of them? And that my dear readers is what I hoping to do here. This was a passion project for me because, dang it, it was the killer dogs' turn to start taking out entire towns and maybe even the world with their ripping teeth and snarling violence.

So settle in and get ready for some trashy, gory, over the top insanity that feels like it came straight out of the 1980s.
