"Silver Silence" is a story filled with action, friends, travel, and espionage. Beginning in east-coast Sydney, Australia, the story follows our multi-talented and resilient protagonist, 16-year-old Diane Summers as she transitions from her normal life pursuing her dreams of singing under the guardianship of performance manager and family friend Liam, to a shocking turn after an attack at her first big concert that plunges her into a series of dangerous twists and turns. Growing up with only her mother and a veil of mystery surrounding her, the attack forces Diane through world-shattering truths when she is kidnapped by Dr. William Hunt and learns the backbone of the mystery of her mother: she is a scientist for the Australian Secret Services and has disappeared- assumingly taken by Hunt for her ability to make a machine- Silver Silence- that she did everything in her power to destroy before she vanished. As Diane manages to fight through Hunt's grasp and these new developments, she struggles through the new reality that she is the only one who can save her mother and the world from Hunt's hand, as a teenager unknowingly prepared from a young age to become a part of the Australian Secret Internation Services; as an unofficial agent of course.As she travels across the world making unassuming allies and enemies, (and meeting a handsome boy with a knack for helping people and getting caught up in Diane's adventures), Diane fights to keep Silver Silence out of Hunt's hands, save her mother, and save the world, all while figuring out the truth about her family and past, how to survive, and how to deal with high school- Even with unknown traitors in her midst, people close to her that are closer to Hunt than she thought.Being a teenager is tough, (especially while defeating a mad man and saving the world), but Diane's journey through this all resolves into a story of friendship, adventure, survival, the discovery of betrayal, and even young love, as she doesn't just fight but figures out her place with her family, friends, and her new job as the world's first teenage spy!But when it comes to saving the world epically and teaming up with espionage and danger, what can a girl do?
