Seventy Three...and Counting

Seventy Three...and Counting is a fictional story about the survivors, rescuers, and community as a whole, and how they persevered through one of the most horrific times in our country's history.

Seventy Three...and Counting follows the daily lives of those directly involved in the Italian Hall disaster, first leading up to the disaster, then the disaster itself, and finally following up with the aftermath.

Stories about the Italian Hall are passed down from generation to generation, and from family to family. It's not often talked about, but there is significant historical value to the family stories that are told, and although the seventy-three deaths that occurred at the Italian Hall were a horrible tragedy, many others in the community didn't lose a loved one, but were still terrifically affected.

Seventy Three...and Counting was was written to give the stories of the survivors and to honor their contributions to the life saving measures that went into the rescue operation. Although Seventy Three...and Counting is fictional, it derives from many of the stories that are told throughout the last ten decades.
