SAME TEAM: BUILDING CHAMPIONSHIP RELATIONSHIPS
Relationships are wonderfully rewarding, yet they can be challenging at the same time. There is no doubt that any lasting relationship has had its share of heartaches, tears, struggles and triumphs. Just think about it. You have two individuals raised in different homes, with different life experiences, and different understandings of what a relationship should look like and the roles each partner plays in it. Yet, these two individuals must now come together in love and find enough common ground that it allows them to work through their differences all while still remaining in love. Our pains, our sorrows, our joys, our hopes, our failed relationships all come to bare when we seek to move forward in a new relationship. Sometimes, this can be quite difficult.

This book will help you work through the challenges of becoming a solid championship relationship team. We will discuss teamwork in a relationship context and how two individuals, while very different, can effectively become an unstoppable team with a championship relationship. But, why the basketball analogy?

Basketball, while not exactly the same as a relationship, shares similar traits and characteristics, particularly when we discuss teamwork. Instead of bringing two people together, a coach must bring twelve people together in a similar dynamic (yes there's 12 people on the team, not just the 5 on the court). We now have twelve individuals from different schools, with varying sport experiences and a variety of understandings of how the game should be played, that all must be united into one cohesive team.
