Sam the black and white cat has nothing to laugh about. First she is thrown out of the house, then she finds shelter in a sewer pipe and eats what crosses her path. Then something happens to her that has never happened to any other cat. When she drops from the tree onto Maya's back, she has the wildest ride of her life. After that, however, she is only pursued and hunted. When another dog is in the neighbor's garden, Sam has no peace. When Maya dies, Tao, the little brown dog, takes command. It grows fast and is much bigger and faster. He almost caught Sam if she hadn't pulled her sharp claws over his head. That earned her respect. Now she tries to get into the house with all the cat tricks. Her friends warn her. Will she make it?
