Safe Word

Safe Word is an emotional story surrounding the main three characters: Emily, Chloe, and Luke.

Chloe is a journalist in her senior year of college when she receives the opportunity of a lifetime to join a writer's workshop in Virginia. She packs up her bags and leaves New Jersey to start this new and exciting journey. Chloe thinks she lucked out by finding a guest house for her stay on a huge farmland, but she quickly learns there is nothing lucky about it.

Luke is the charming, narcissistic host who welcomes Chloe to her new temporary housing. Although they have instant chemistry, Chloe can't help but shake her nerves about him. Luke is the sheriff of the small town; everybody knows him, and everybody loves him. Turns out Chloe arrived at a wild time, because Luke and his recent break-up with Emily is the talk of the town. However, this isn't your normal break-up... Emily is missing and the ones closest to her are starting to grow suspicious.

Shortly during Chloe's stay, she gets terrifyingly haunted - things are happening to her that only happen in your worst kind of nightmares. Eventually, this scary omen comes to light and she's not so scary after all - it's Emily, and she needs Chloe's help.

From here the story is told by Emily as she takes us through her and Luke's relationship. We live through the night they met, how beautiful and passionate their love was - but we quickly learn it wasn't always butterflies and rainbows. We watch as Emily and Luke's relationship becomes dangerously abusive.

July 4th was the night Emily began packing her bags to leave, only she didn't make it out of the house. Luke viciously murdered Emily and buried her body in his large woodland farm.

Nobody would ever suspect the highly respected town sheriff of doing such a thing, so it is now up to Chloe to find Emily's body and serve her justice. There is only one thing standing in her way - Luke.

Safe Word is a script that will make you feel every emotion from fear to laughter, while keeping you on edge until you learn how Emily's story will end.
