Rusting Poems

The poems in this book are grouped in three parts with a distribution of 48-25-95. The first is Poems in Green Youthfulness and include several thought ideas like feelings towards one's country; poetic interpretation of famine; experience in life before rebirth; expressions of love, being in love, and of loving; grasping sensibilities towards nature; the beauty of summer; addressing conflicts of living with only self-benefits prioritized; dealing with awkwardness of meeting people socially; and the guiding lessons an atom would provide if it could speak.

The second is Poems in Transparent Realization and begins with knowing oneself; poetizing Gandhi; meaning of life; transacting in relationships; life in human terms; resilience to surviving; human exploitation; wisdom of the sapiens within; in the name of deities; two gods, yours and mine; spiritual as the creator; searching for creator; being you; life's survival; advanced society and culture; connection between life and being free; religion a gift of faith; qualities of a heart; a festival dream sequence; pieces of a heart; fondness of the heart; a girl's mind before her wedding; the joys of an anniversary celebration.

The third is Poems in Golden Maturity and explores incidents around the neighborhood; everyday societal rolls in the family; sensitive issues related to babies and little kids; activities in nature of birds like cuckoo, animals like the monkey, plants, butterflies, monsoon rain; ageing men; wishes of the Taj Mahal minarets; life moments; societal malaise; romance; cultural vagaries; pandemic virus; strains of freedom; dialogue with shiva; philosophical reflections; godmen; two greatest of leaders; philosophical take on beggars and entrepreneurship; questions of trust, country pride, and query by a mountain.

This manuscript of poems depicts thoughts, expressions, stories, and life in verse. It begins with real and imaginary lexes in youthful play and indulges in serious interspersed themes that cover and scope simple as well as complex messages and ideas with specific or fuzzy associative notions, concepts, and philosophies. Some poems have rhyme and a paragraph format. Others are prose poems with no rhyme, but deliberate paragraphs. All poems were written or spring from life's experiences, visual observations, and explored sentiments, authentic and veritable, on two continents, geographically far apart, and virtually opposite each other on the globe. The poems are dated, at least by the year, providing a general sense of the contemporary context of the living situation and the social atmosphere in that timeframe as it existed and as it was experienced. The poems are not intended to be biased for or against any culture, entity, social, political, or economic system.

The youthful poems deal with real and imaginary expressions that are inquisitive and playful. They collectively speak about life and life moments with a slice of philosophical reflection.

The golden maturity presents thoughts based on observations and experience that cover a wide array of societal scenarios, philosophical creations, historical and political ideas to explore the validity of their persuasions, affluence and influence of nature, joyous moments in life's timeline, misconceived ideologies, and warped leaderships of nations.
